Anti-humour

Welcome back to another episode of my “English blog”, where the entire article is  written in English.

In the first one, the argument was “Dark Humour”, but today we’ll talk about another tipe, always about jokes.

It’s the “Anti-Humour”

In other words, there’s this joke and it doesn’t matter what it’s about: the joke-teller gives you detail after detail, when you have imagined all the events in this long and complicated story, the punchline isn’t as you thought and doesn’t meet your expectations.

With some examples, you’ll perfectly understand.

1.

– “Why did the chicken cross the road ?

– “To get to the other side”
2.

– “If you have four apples in one hand, and six oranges in the other, what do you have ?”

– “Quite large hands”
3.

– “What do you call a dog with no legs ?”

– “It doesn’t matter what you call him, he isn’t coming”
4.

– “What is big, white and will kill you if it falls from a tree ?”

– “A fridge”
5.

– “What is green and has wheels ?”

– “Grass, I lied about the wheels”
Hope you liked it.
